Hullo all!
stuck-in-suburbia (https://www.deviantart.com/stuck-in-suburbia) and I are the new group admins. Please still feel free to note the group if you are interested in helping out (either as an admin or otherwise). Bear with us while we talk over our plans for the group. Looking for new admins
Due to life commitments and commitments to dA elsewhere its come to the point that i and Nironan12 (https://www.deviantart.com/nironan12) no longer wish to be admins on this group. Over the past year my focus has dwindled and i feel that this group deserves a whole lot more love and attention than i feel i can offer.
So i'm doing a shout out to ask if anyone wants to take over the group. You don't have to be experienced with running groups, but some emoticon knowledge/experience is an added plus. There are a couple of things to note though:

Packs Galore Contest + deadline extended

The Packs Galore contest was due to end in a few hours but i have come to the decision to extend it. The contest has been uber successful and i thank everyone that has entered and under normal circumstances it would close on time.
However a number of issues have arisen including my exams which weren't set when the contest were launched, a mess up on the countdown timer and Sinister-Starfeesh (https://www.deviantart.com/sinister-starfeesh) currently being offline and i feel it unfair to close the contest now only for everyone to have to wait a week for the results.
Therefore the new deadline is: Sunday 16th May @ 11.59PM UK time

On dA there are currently 2 official systems in place to allow you to use emoticons around the site. These are know as The Emoticon Legend and The Emoticon Mood System. Together the two systems contain over 500 emoticons from a range of different artists on dA.
However when it comes to locating the original copies of the emoticons it isn't all that easy. The Emoticon Legend does come with a full list of emoticons along with the ability to list by creator but it can still be tricky to track down the actual deviations.
